Here's a somber look at Canada's role in Afghnistan. I'm pretty removed from the Canadian media, so I'm really not sure why we're there. I think it's to keep the peace (or instill the peace?). I know the speach from "A Few Good Men" by Nicholson, and I actually agree with it. But still, I also live in the viscinity of several Canadian war cemetaries in and around the Nijmegen area - that's also very moving.

I'm a Canadian (Haligonian transplanted to Calgary) now living in Nijmegen, Netherlands (1.5hrs from Amsterdam). I work at Trek Travel (www.trektravel.com), and I'm focusing the next 2 years of my life to joining the ranks of the pro peloton.
